XBacnet – First ever cross-platform BACnet explorer

The first ever cross-platform BACnet explorer, for hobbyists and professionals alike

In the BACnet community there is almost unspoken issue regarding BACnet explorers. They were only available for Windows, there wasn’t any type of application to use on MAC or Linux. XBacnet was created to address this issue.

The highlight of the explorer is that it is cross-platform. But despite that, there are other key features, like COV ( Change of Value ) Subscriptions, ability to debug errors with great verbosity, and perhaps in another major release a BACnet simulator will be added.

It is worth pointing out that this BACnet explorer is open source, and contributions from the community are welcomed.

Generic S3 Node-RED nodes that simplify workflow and allow the flow to interact with S3 providers other than AWS, like Digitalocean, Scaleway etc. These nodes bundle @aws-sdk/client-s3 and implement basic functionalities like listing and creating buckets, listing all objects in a bucket, creating an object, fetching object’s contents and deleting an object.

Predictgenics

Disease prediction model

Predictgenics is python prediction model created as part of school project. This model uses RFC ( Random Forest Classifier ) to predict a disease with accuracy of ~98%.

The model takes from 3 to 7 symptoms, processes them and outputs disease, its description and most common precautions for it.

Python’s visualisation library streamlit was used for the front-end.

Buck – The Business Track

Business Tracking Android Application

Buck is an android application coded in Java as part of school project. It allows the users to add their businesses and “promote” them among the users.

The way it works is that when the user adds business, it gets stored on Azure SQL DB, and after that everyone that us using the application is being able to view the details about the business. Since one of the input parameters for a business is coordinates of it’s location, there is an option to open it on google maps from the application.

The Slade

Phaser3 Coding Game

The Slade is open source coding game with a goal to make kids interested in coding. It has dungeon based theme and it looks a lot like scratch, but it’s fairly easy to tell that this is a school project.

This game is coded in Phaser3, which is a JavaScript framework designed specifically for making games. For a preview you can visit github and you can check out the preview or if follow the instructions if you want to try it for yourself.

Database Management System

C# Database Management System

This C# DBMS is also a part of a school project. It’s open source and you already guessed it, it’s coded in C#.

It allows the users to connect to remote Azure SQL Database and edit it as the user desires. It uses data grid to represent and edit the data. There is also a key functionality to roll-back a change or so called commit. It uses default SQL driver to perform the operations.

Memory Game

Open Source C# Memory Game

This Memory Game, just like most of the other projects is also a part of school project. The goal was to give the classic card memory game some fresh twist. The whole game is coded in C#. Also there is an integration with Azure SQL Database.

The game allows a user to register and play the game, upon whose login the highest score is kept track of. But for the users that don’t want to create an account, there is an option to play the game as a guest.
